MANAN DESIGN

Madhavi Ganeriwalla and Sioned Emerys started Manan Design in 2005. “Manan” means “to meditate,” and that philosophy of removing excess became a useful guide for every design decision we made.

Our scope covered website design and development, hosting and maintenance. We took responsibility for both the customer-facing experience and the dependable foundation required to keep it running.

We kept the design calm and minimal, working with natural, subtle colours that echoed Manan’s understated collections and balanced silhouettes. The site was meant to feel composed, never busy.

We hosted the Manan Design website on Amazon Web Services (AWS), giving the project a dependable cloud foundation while our team continued to support and maintain the site.

At the time of the project, Manan was reaching customers in the United States, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and the United Kingdom—a useful reminder that the website needed to communicate clearly across markets.

We built out homepage banners, a parallax section, store information, Instagram content, product-listing pages, product-detail pages and checkout screens, carrying the same restrained visual language across the complete shopping journey.

Manan’s product world spans womenswear, menswear, kidswear and jewellery. The breadth of the range made hierarchy and navigation especially important, even within a deliberately minimal interface.
